Alverno mourns the loss of Coach Frankie Russo

     On Monday, Alverno students received shocking news that Athletic Director and Softball Head Coach, Frankie Russo had passed away. The words were a shock to hear as they echoed through the silent campus of Alverno. Frankie was a loved man and was by far more than just a coach to many Alverno students, alumni and families.

      Frankie suffered a stroke Friday which led to many complications resulting in his death Sunday afternoon. Frankie had coached the Alverno Softball team for 18 years and served as AD for the past 15 years. His life will be imprinted on the memories of many many people and the lessons he taught will live on. 

Remember Frankie. Remember Frankie for the joy he brought. Remember Frankie for the lessons he taught. Remember Frankie for the love he shared. Remember Frankie. 

Thank you Frankie for everything you have given the Alverno Community and Beyond. You will be missed.
